Ringling Brothers circus

This was the second time at the circus for Kate and James; the first for Robert and Isaac. I should not have taken Isaac. Way too loud and, for an infant, probably dangerous lighting effects. Also, for next time, a matinee. We left at intermission since the circus started just prior to our regular bedtime. And, for the record, the circus creeps me out a little. Strange people, strange stiff.

Okay, now that all my regrets and complaints are out of the way, the kids LOVED the show. The tightrope routing was a hit for all of them. James thought the really strong Russians who carried heavy wood logs on their shoulders with girls swinging on the ends was very cool. (I thought it was weird. So what? They are strong. Who cares? Oh, wait, I was done complaining.) Robert loved the clown routines. Kate was in charge of taking pictures during the show. It was interesting to see the things she wanted to remember.

We arrived a little early so that we could see some of the animals outside and spend a bit of time down on the floor meeting and watching some of the performers up close.

Who wouldn't want a Ringling Bros. tattoo?
