Ben has read the first and second Harry Potter books to James and Kate and they have LOVED them. Our bedtime routine includes about 15 minutes of reading and is the incentive to get the kids to put on PJ's, brush teeth, etc. However, the 15 minutes with Harry Potter often stretched to 20, 30 or 40. The kids would yell "read" as soon as Ben mentioned stopping or that he was tired or that they needed to go to bed. The finished the second book (above photo) on a Sunday afternoon. They read for over 4 hours. They have now also seen the first two movies. Now they are on hiatus for at least a year since book 3 gets a bit scary. It has been fun to see their excitement for reading and the Harry Potter story.

Harry Potter
