First snow

We woke up to a bit of wet, heavy snow on Monday morning. It wouldn't have been right not to bundle up the kids and head out for some quick play before it melted away. Robert threw his first snowballs and had a blast until the cold moisture went through his knit cloves and froze his little fingers.

Kate's slushballs were a bit bigger.

James had good aim with his snowballs . . .

. . . but his snowman was pathetic. He thought it was fantastic and gladly posed for a picture. We had to get creative to find a way to get both him and the tiny snowman in the frame.
