breakfast dates

Things are busy at our house. Ben is campaigning every night until at least 9:00 p.m. and all day Saturdays. It's taking a toll on me and the kids. None of us getting the attention we need. Since there's really not an easy way to have one-on-one time evenings or weekends, I decided to try taking advantage of mornings. Kate and James and I squeezed in a run to Smiths for bagels and cream cheese one morning last week before school/work. It wasn't quite as calm and enjoyable as our lunch dates used to be, but it was still a quality moment. We'll take what we can get right now, though. I love these two six-year-olds!
