Let's go fly a kite

When I picked up Kate and James from school on Thursday (after taking Robert home from a day in the ER), one of the moms said she had a couple of kites in her car and they were headed to a park. They invited other kids and we took them up on the offer. The kids had a great time. It's funny that they think they always have to be running to fly a kite. The idea of standing still and letting more string to have it fly higher didn't seem like as much fun to them as running with the kite several feet in the air behind them. I guess it's a good way to get some energy out for the day. Why bother to change their minds?
