Congratulations, Senator!

Ben won this election with 73% of the vote! We joined others of the Utah Democratic Party at the downtown Marriott on election night to celebrate together. "Celebrate" is probably a stretch for Utah Dems on election night, but efforts were to be congratulated. And, of course, there were a few bright spots. Lucky us to have been among the bright spots.

Below is a group of some of Ben's most stalwart volunteers. Ben and two other candidates (Rebecca Chavez-Houck and Joel Brisco) pooled funds to rent a hotel room for the evening where they could rest and provide some food and a quiet place for their volunteers to hang out. Rebecca and Joel won their House seats as well!

Ben gave a short speech in the hotel room toward the end of the evening to thank his volunteers and family. Ben's mom and two sisters made phone calls and helped Ben knock on the doors in this district! Ben surprised me with flowers tonight and said thanks for the support and for being a single mom for six months. Thanks! And, congratulations to you, Ben!

Mary Bishop was his campaign manager. She was fantastic!
