Special lunch date

Kate, James & I have been going on lunch dates once a week during this school year - usually on Thursdays. I have several photos from our lunch dates and will do a post with them one of these days. However, yesterday's lunch date was super special and so I wanted to post a couple of photos tonight. We ate at the Utah State Senate Building and were joined by Senator McAdams and Brady Wheeler (Ben's super cool intern, who is also the younger brother of our friend, Colby Wheeler).

In the morning Kate asked Ben if she could wear her crown to lunch. Ben said she could. Then Kate asked if lots of people at the capitol wear crowns. Ben said it, "No, but many people think they do."

Kate proudly wore her crown as she ate her ham & cheese sandwich, chips, and a doughnut with sprinkles. James enjoyed a cheeseburger, chips and a chocolate doughnut. We stuck around a bit to see Ben's office, the Senate Chambers, and to meet a few of Ben's colleagues.

I think we love all our lunch dates, but yesterday was extra special.
