Back to School

James and Kate started back to preschool last Monday. It's Year 2 of Spanish immersion. It seemed they had forgotten everything over the summer, but after a week back at school I've already heard them both talking a bit of Spanish at home again and their teachers say they are doing great.

The pictures below are our attempt to document this year's First Day of School. Even though we're still in the height of the summer heat, we took James and Kate "school shopping" in the hopes of increasing the excitement for school to begin again and because when the weather does change, they will need a few things. So, of course, they wanted to wear some of their new things on the first day. Love the long sleeves, long pants, and jackets in 90 degree heat. At least they were excited for school!
