"Saturday! Mommy, Daddy no work!"
The whole family looks forward to Saturdays. James and Kate know that mom and dad don't work on Saturdays (at least we all hope not) and we all look forward to doing something fun together. This Saturday, Ben and his mom took the kids to a UofU men's basketball game (I, unfortunately, had to work for a few hours). James and Kate talked about going to Saturday's basketball game all week long and put on their "Go Utah" shirts first thing in the morning (as if James wouldn't have done that anyway). In the evening, Ben and I took the kids to Jungle Jim's -- a cheap, indoor, germy playland for kids. What else is there to do on a cold, dark-too-early, wintry Saturday night? Below are a few pictures of the fun. What do you do for fun with little kids on the weekends? We're looking for some new ideas.

Surely some would worry that having your kids wear U of U t-shirts every day constitutes some form of child abuse. (jk)
They look like they are having plenty of fun, I am sure they would be happy to go to "germy playlnds" every weekend!
Looks like they're getting the hang of rides. A big step from May's visit to the Boardwalk when they spent the whole time a bit stunned...
Cool! We went to that same germy playground while we were out there last month. It's fabulous for little kids! Looks like they had a great time (hopefully, you washed and disinfected yourselves after you got home!!)
Look like they are having a blast. As for things to do on the weekends, get families passes to either Treehouse Museum in Ogden or Discovery Gateway in Salt Lake. It's a good place to go when the weather is cold. The kids will enjoy it and so would you.
I took Keely to Jungle Jim's one time when we were in Utah and she loved it! Now everytime we travel to Utah she asks if we're going to visit Jungle Jim's. I agree with you about the germs though - all those little kids places, yuck!
Hmm, look like fun was had by all... beats our recent saturdays of unpacking boxes!
